Men, on average, barring any psychological or physical issues, will achieve orgasm with most sexual encounters.
Answering your questions - men (like women) don't HAVE to cum during sex. Some men can engage in intercourse for long periods of time before ever reaching orgasm. Some men can have many orgasms during one sexual encounter. The amount of orgasms and duration of sex varies from man to man. But in most cases, a man will achieve an orgasm during sex. It's much easier for a man to orgasm than a woman.
It's harder for men to fake orgasms too. We leave behind the tell-tale signs of orgasm called semen. While it is possible for a man to have an orgasm without the emission of semen, this is rare. Most men will emit semen when they orgasm.
