reader, anonymous, writes (29 May 2009): No, you're not a loser, but it sounds like your partner is. I'd definitely ditch him as it sounds like he's only using you for your money. Find someone who treats you well instead.
I think your feelings for your ex are probably more nostalgia than anything else. You're not happy in your current relationship; it's only natural that you might imagine what the alternative could have been.
