i have a pretty hairy chest, but i dont really want one anymore, ive tried to shave it but all that it left me with was multiple ingrown hairs, rough stuble.

I want a smooth hairless chest, is there anyway to get that?, maybe waxing?

I'm not sure if this is of importance to you. I found this site when looking for laser hair removal surgeons. It's completely free and they only deal with the best of the best. I have used them a couple times now. Check them out (www.ThePatientsAdvantage.com); seriously.

SirenaBlusera agony auntWaxing and laser hair removal are two options.

One thing to take into consideration is that laser hair removal is permanent.

The disadvantage to doing something permanent to our body is that eventually we come to regret it. I nearly got a tattoo a few years ago but decided to wait a year to think about whether or not I wanted a tattoo. I'm still not sure whether or not I want one, but by not getting it, I have options. I can always get it down the road... once it's done you can't easily undo it.

If you REALLY hate chest hair, you could always go to a salon and get it waxed.

Everyone has a different idea about what is attractive and it's all relative. Some women love it, and some don't. I am attracted to Latin guys, many of whom don't have any (a few do get some), but chest hair, or lack thereof, is not a dealbreaker in my book.

That's the nice thing, you can do something about it. Just don't do anything permanent to your body unless you're sure you can live with it (I still haven't gotten my tattoo and don't think I want one)

A male reader, mytwocents United States +, writes (29 May 2009):

mytwocents agony auntYou don’t need to wax your chest. If you’re like me, it’ll look unnatural because you have little hairs on the rest of your trunk area (stomach, rib cage)--especially if you're kind of a hairy person anyway. Then, you'll have a stubble chest for half the time. Not to mention that it’s going to cost you money and effort every time you have to do it.

I use a high-quality pair of sheers to TRIM my chest hairs. It reduces the “bulk” of the hair, but leaves an even covering that looks natural and manly, but still under control. My girlfriend (who's a super-critical, blunt person) always compliments me on its apperance.

It might take a time or two to get start getting good at it, but just make it part of your normal bathroom routine.

Ms.Helper agony auntWaxing yourself (veet wax stips are the best i've used), getting waxed by a professional (more expensive than buying wax strips), hair removal cream (quite cheap, but still need to shave if you want extra smoothness), obviously then there's shaving. Unless you want laser hair removal. You might come across a woman who loves hairy chests! And believe me there's more women out there who love it than there is who don't! You could just trim it too, it won't be as thick and untidy.

Good luck whatever you choose to do :)

A male reader, anonymous, writes (29 May 2009):

Another option is to just trim it. You can buy electric body hair trimmers that will clip it back, so it isn't so thick or long. If you find you are too hairy that might be good enough and is better than pain or putting nasty hair dissolving chemicals all over your chest.

Nair w/aloe is the best way for you if it is just the chest. Buy one bottle use at least for a month and a half.

waxing isn't permanent... laser hair removal would be your best bet.

But that's $$$
