At work this guy won't leave me alone and they won't fire him because he's a good chef!

Question - (9 March 2013) 4 Answers - (Newest, 10 March 2013)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So there's this guy that won't leave me alone. I work part time at a Greek restaurant and he is the chef. He watches me when I'm dancing which makes me feel uncomfortable then after he always tries to talk to me after my dances where my boyfriend can't see him.

I have told the staff, they have argued with him before about it and he seemed to leave me alone for a while but the other day he kissed me on the cheek making out he was going to talk to me then kissing me when I was close enough. No matter what I say or do he won't leave me alone.

He hits on all the women who come in, he just won't leave them alone. Problem is I need the money as its my only income and they won't fire him as he's a good cook and is bringing in more customers.

I'd just like some advice on this and if anyone else has had this problem?

Thanks

Can I take action as its the first time he has done something like that? Or does he need to be a repeat offender? Also who should I go to? And do I tell my boss what I am doing?

Sorry there are so many questions.

Thanks for your response

He sees himself as a romeo, have you asked your boyfriend to talk to him away from work?

Have you told him you will sue him for sexual harrassment if he won't leave you alone, because you can, your protected by the law.

If you have done this, tried everything, then you should start looking for another job.
