Question - (24 October 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 24 October 2011)
A female Malaysia age 26-29, anonymous writes:

there is a guy in my school and he has been staring at me for few weeks? the first time, i caught him staring at me from across the room, so i stared right back for who knows how long (but pretty long), and he looked away first. i don't think much of it afterward, but i caught him again the next week... and this time, he immediately look down and pretend to stare at the ground (when someone talk to him, he swiftly turn to the person like he's embarrassed of what he just did)... what does this mean? oh he had the blank look on (or maybe little bit dreamy)... i think

since then, i started to notice him...and my friends even caught him staring, sometimes glancing, and even gazed at me when im not looking. however when he is with his friends, he just act normal, like nothing happen. heck, he;s a complete stranger... and my friends said he's interested, but i don't know, because he sometimes act like he hasn't been staring at me...

there's few times when i smiled at him (unconsciously) and he smiled back...but other times, when we stared at each other, we didn't smile... should i have smiled all the time?

i also heard from my friends that he also stare at them, or glance at people in general, but i can't help feeling that the looks he gave me are different and i really don't know if im hallucinating or keep telling myself this is real...

BUT, i notice he would even try to look for me as well (since he did it in my face), even my friends notice it... i don't know if it was just me, but i have a feeling that most of the time, he would try to keep me in sight, because even if i have my back turned to him, he's always, always either facing me, or shoulders pointing towards me. one more thing, while i sometimes walk behind him, he turned around like 3 times to look at me... i could feel his gaze and i don't know how i should react to this!! there this one time, he keep glancing at me, when talking to his friends, some other times, he didn't even look. last week, he actually hang around my locker after school, and he kept on talking to his female friends... lol one after the other. somehow i got a feeling he purposely hang around... cos he doesn't usually do that, and heck our classes are somehow near mine, becasue we always always always passed by each other. my friend mention him glancing at me few times when talking to a female friend. (but if it were me, i also glance around when talking to someone, so i don't think its such a big deal) so guys what do you think???

I wonder if he is losing erm.. interest (if hes interested in the first place)

all the things he did are confusing; one moment he's doing the glancing, staring, other times he acted as if nothing happen...

but lately, the things he did are now more secret, and fewer... what does this mean? well, he still glance at me, and stares, but not that much now... i think.

i'm in highshool now, and my question are how do 16-17 year old guys act around girls they like, especially girls who are completely strangers? and is the guy in question interested, or still interested or is he losing interest? thanks!! :) oh yea he's in the year above me, and none of my friends are friends with him...i'm just wondering how i am going to talk to him... help please!!!!

Yes, I would guess he is interested. If you get a chance say hi to him and see how he reacts.
