 ok. he might just want to get to know you first. so dont rush things, let him make the first couple moves. you dont want to put yourself out there and he doesnt respond? ha but he might have a little crush on you!

Basically what I am trying to say is that men and women are attracted to people for different reasons. Some are romantic and some are based on personality or humor or whatever. My answer to your question is yes a guy can be nice to a girl to whom he is not attracted to physically.
He may be attracted to you physically he may not, but its not to say he is not attracted to you as a person and may want to be friends with you.
I would say get to know him better and through time you will get better signals(body language as well as behaviour) as to if he likes you in a romantic manner or not. If you like him as well you have nothing to lose by getting to know him better either.
