writes:I am 27 years old and have really low confidence due to my squint teeth, I have always felt like ths but I know I can't get a fixed brace I couldn't live with it, I have never had a boyfreind, hate getting my picture taken, I have heard about invisalign and was just wondering if anyone had heard of it. Does it bother a guy if girls have squint teeth, would it bother a guy if he was going out with someone with braces? Any help or advice welcome.I have kissed guys but it never goes any further and I was just wondering if that was a reason put them off.

Ok looks are really important for some guys but for a lot of others your personality and ability to get on with you is more important. Don't let it eat away at your confidence. You sound like a really nice, down to earth person so I am sure it won't be long before someone appeciates your real qualities. I hate getting my picture taken too and I'm also not very confident but as a good friend of mine says "its not the cards you are dealt, it's the player you are", so I have learnt to try and be positive. I can't give advice specifically on your teeth but I am a great believer that you shouldn't change who you are. Anyway feel free to get in touch if you need someone to talk to...Take care...

reader, anonymous, writes (24 January 2010): i have bent teeth also, its really not that bad honestly, your personality will out shine any faults, nice men will be attracted to your personality and not by your looks, and everybody hates looking at photos of them self! the best thing to do is take a good look in the mirror and ask your self what are the best looking features on your face, maybe it could be your eyes, try wearing make up that brightens them up. do not cover your mouth while you are talking or laughing as people will be drawn to look at what you are hiding, just be your self, let your good features shine through, people will like you no matter what you look like and if they dont then it is them with the fault and not you.
