Hiya

I have recently started using online dating sites and have been meeting girls off there (yes of course always make sure we are both careful in meeting at public place etc)

Anyway because these are sort of blind dates, what is the best and most polite way to let a girl down generally (esp without hurting her feelings or offending her) if I didnt fancy her upon meeting her....yes of course I know honesty is best policy but at times honesty like that can be hurtful esp to girls....so need some helpful suggestions to get around it.

Thanks

A female reader, :):):) United Kingdom +, writes (17 May 2008):

Well I wish more men were as thoughtful as you! If there isnt a spark between the two of you, then most women would realise and not ask for another date.

For the unlucky few who do, be polite and say you enjoyed the evening but felt you bonded more as friends.

Just make sure you feel you could have a connection before you meet them to avoid this situation, maybe by chatting on the phone first.

Good luck
