reader, anonymous, writes (20 February 2008): What is always a lovely idea and thought is something handmade, that means something special to the two of you and not only her on that nite. Or give her something small on the nite, and get a lovely foto taken of the two of you at her party and put it in a special frame, get it inscribed with your names/date etc... Its something she will have forever to remind her of her 21st. I have Milliemium Chamoagne flute glasses that were inscribed with my name and date from friends I worked with. There's lots of ideas that you can do with out breaking the bank but will mean the world to some people. Just think about what she likes and what mean the most to her and work from there

Now I'm not suggesting your girlfriend is shallow but to 'have everything' does raise some questions in my mind. I have always thought that the most memorable presents are those which have been given the most thought - sometimes even hand-made or completely bespoke to that person.

 just bake some cookies who look like her face and give it to her..and after that ask her to went out & go to romantic places..hope it would help!!
