A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hi, I would like some advice about body language and whether im looking too far into things with this guy... he's the local vicar, young, good looking and single, after a service I was saying goodbyes he came up to me and gave me a gift (a mug, which he didnt give to any one else and not coz it was the last one!) thought it was a sweet gesture so i bought him a gift to say thanks, today he came towards me as a friend and I was leaving to say thank you there was a silence which he wouldnt look at me and kept shifting from foot to foot and couldnt seem to keep still (friend standing beside me). Ive caught him glancing my way afew times and even had eye contact but I always look away. I want him to know im interested without actually saying 'hey, fancy a date?' I just wish I could read his body language, and sort mine out! can anyone help me out here?

thanks in advance!

Laura1318 agony auntBy giving you a mug , he has shown some interest in you.

Nobody gives anything to someone if they don't feel anything for the receiver.

Get to spend more time with him or offer your help if he needs any.

superbunny agony auntThat all seems like very positive body language, if you ask me. He probably felt too intimidated by your friend being there when it seemed like he liked you..

There's no harm in suggesting going for a coffee or something. That way you can get to know him a little better.. And the better you know him, the better you'll know how to read his body language!

I hope it goes well! :] x
