Question - (1 October 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 2 October 2008)
A female United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Annoyed by IM with boyfriend...He's a boyfriend of six years. He wanted more space the last few months. So now we see each other one day during the week and on weekends. I am sticking to the days we agreed to. I had plans for the night on our scheduled night off . He wanted to see me but i told him it's not our night to see each other and I have plans anyways. So his response was well I guess I'll have to go the Hilton downtown. I asked him whats there, he says there are single women and hookers! He said he needs to get out a little bit can't sit home alone...

How do I respond to this in a mature way?

thatgothgirl20 agony auntI would say "Have fun." and hang up the phone, but that's me, and I don't think that's the response you were looking for.

Just tell him that he was the one who wanted space, and that you were sticking to his plan, so ask him what his problem is.

Sounds like he thinks that your life should revolve around him. Oh boy, is he in for a surprise!
