It starts off like any night would....

So my will-be stepbrother and his mom came over last night b/c they and my dad had an event the next day. We all sat on the couch watched movies and just had a good time. Our parents finally said at 10:30 that they were tired and had to go and sleep. We were told that we could stay up or w/e, just don't be too loud. So we kept watching movies and after they left, we moved closer and closer until we were touching. Laying next to each other, we started playing footsie and talked quietly. I think we were kinda flirting but it was hard to tell. Every time it was "scary" in the movie, I'd snuggle in closer to him and he would put his arm around me for a bit. By 11-ish our parents said we had to get some rest. So we reluctantly turned off the TV and trudged upstairs.

After brushing our teeth and saying goodnight, we left our doors open. I could see his silhouette through the crack in the door.

I gathered my courage and walked the 3 ft. across the hall, smiled and asked if he needed anything. He said me "maybe, do you need anything?" I replied, "perhaps." We continued on for a couple minutes and then I asked if we were going to talk all night. He smiled and asked me to sit down next to him on he bed to talk. I did, only realizing after that the door was open. Forgetting any shred of proper behavior I walked to my door which was still open and closed that. Then I went back to his room and closed the door quietly behind me. Walking straight to his bed I sat down. We started talking about the hows your life stuff. My hands were always reaching out to touch his. At 12:30 he said we should both get rest. I asked for a hug and he opened his arms and I leaned toward him and hugged him, my fingers lingering a bit longer than needed. I slipped past the door and sat on my bed for a couple hours thinking of him.

So that's what happened. We're about 3 years and some months apart in age. Am I wrong in thinking he likes me? Maybe?!! Thanks in advance for your help?

almost 14 and almost 17 but our birthdays are far enough apart to have a 4 yr. difference. He isn't the kind of guy who would take advantage of me. I know him well enough to see that.

how old are you and how old is he? you need to be very careful in this situation. this guy is going to be your step brother and a relationship between the two of you could get kind of weird. also, the fact that he is almost 4 years older than you worries me. most teenage boys are only after one thing and you are underage. it does sound like hes interested but you need to proceed with caution and a clear head. hope this helps.
