A reader, anonymous, writes (6 December 2010):

Thinking a girl is pretty or being affected by beauty in the world is not in any way being a lesbian nor any determinant of your sexual reckoning...

It's the same as admiring a model or beautiful sculpture or painting or anything at all... read any women's magazine or go to any fan site and witness all the gushing and girly oo-ing and aah-ing over this and that celebrities' eyes or hair or skin or physique or style... Listen to most any woman's description of why she loves her best friends or sisters or female mentors or whathaveyou... Women have emotional bonds that only wishful men and perverts would twist into something they are not at all.

Lesbianism itself is not a perversion, so don't get that last statement wrong. If you are sexually attracted to women, know there is nothing wrong with your sexuality and that you deserve acceptance from everyone.
