Is it okay to have sex with my cousin's husband's younger brother?

A age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I had sex with my cousins husband's younger brother.

We are the same age(19) but now he says he wants to do it again.

I'm kind of nervous about having sex again, yes we did it once but the fact that he is family now is getting to me.

Is it wrong or okay in everyone's opinion? We aren't blood related.

Foot-In-My-Mouth agony auntIf you're not blood related, I don't see any problem. But do it only if YOU want to...and not because he is putting pressure on you.

A male reader, anonymous, writes (1 October 2012):

I'm not quite sure what everybody else thinks has to do with anything. I's your life.

I for one would say, "If you love him, marry him. Otherwise keep your pants on until you find somebody you do love."

But that's only my opinion and neither I nor anybody else matters. As far as its being family, obviously there is no biological connection so it is just a social thing. If you would like to keep on good terms with the rest of the family, just ask them what they'd think if you married him.

Ask them again a few days later, because people do change. That's if you care, of course.

By the way, in some places, like the US, there is a vicious prejudice against marrying any family at all. But that's insanity. Biologically the best mate for the best children is third cousin.

But historical things seem to have get into our heads.

Best of luck to both of you.

Linton
