reader, anonymous, writes (20 October 2011): Yes, some will.No, some won't.The problem with cheating is that there are so many reasons people cheat and why they do what they do is so varied that nobody can tell you what any one individual will do in those circumstances.Truly good people do cheat, some people that are truly evil don't cheat. You can't determine the entire character of a person from this single aspect of their humanity.Even some counselors advise "don't tell if you won't ever do it again and you know that for certain".However, that doesn't always work for some people, the guilt destroys them and their relationship more surely than the affair ever could.Keep that in mind, you cheat when you are 20, but you live to be 80 years old. You don't ever forget that you cheated.Yet, some people, from certain social and cultural backgrounds, cheat without blinking an eye. It is "normal" and "good" and they don't even recognize the damage done to the other person.

 personaly i have never cheated in any relationship and never plan to. I have been cheated on though. Knowing from personal experience how it hurts if it somehow happened i would admit it.

Sometimes temptation gets the best of us, unfortunately. I know i try my damndest to remain faithful to the one i am with, when there is someone, but i have slipped once or twice. it took me a couple of weeks, but i eventually came clean and admitted it. rightfully so, those relationships ended with my admission, but i made the proverbial bed... When a person cheats more often than not its because we feel the grass is greener so to speak but i know in my case at least it just made me realize what i had.
