 I agree with Honeypie, but would hope he'll see a doctor if it continues. I would also add not to do anything he pressures you into.

He should take this matter very seriously because ED is an early call of some more very serious health problems such as cardiovascular desease, diabetes, and enlarged prostate. Hence the finger in the butt thing IMO. Ask him to see his doc.

 The finger in the butt is for prostate stimulation. Makes it more pleasurable for him.
As for why he prefers "sucking" to licking.... it has a more powerful sensation and will get him off faster, I'd wager.
He wants to try something different, something new.
THAT is my guess.
