Why is date no 3 the date where most men try to get it on with women???

When a man tries to touch the side of your waist on a first date and takes a while to let go of it - what does that mean?? Is he just thinking of sex with me?? I know he is heavily attracted to me and has said so asking me for a kiss at the end of date - I'm not as attracted but gave him a peck on the cheek before leaving. My question is why do men put so many expectations with getting it on with the woman once date 3 comes around?? I guess my date 1 looked like a 3 hence not having a date 2, I shudder to think what date 3 could have been like!!!!
