 Theres not really much to go on here ?? Perhaps you need to sit down and ask him why ? Without to much info here its hard to say why he would do this, maybe its because he feels insecure at times and isnt sure how the two of you are panning out. You really should ask him why he goes hot and cold, it could just be down to something like being tired or stressed, but unless you talk to him you are not going to found out. He may have something on his mind, have a chat and see what he says.
