A female United States age 36-40, *psfinestgemini writes:

why does my boyfriend always have his bags packed? and when I asked he says thought you might need your space! or maybe i you don't want me here.

Then he comes back in and say's "if I'm not welcome her I would like to know instead of you avoiding me." and "but I know I'm welcome here or you wouldn't have left me here right?" All I did was spend time with my sister.

This guy is full of crap if I must say....sounds like he is sending signals that he wants out of the relationship. Tell him if he wants to go then get the hell on--don't waste your time.

I agree with Romany in the last sentence. Lay your cards out and let him know where you want things to go. Being a guy, I need to be reassured once in a while; even if it's as simple as "hey, don't worry I'm not going anywhere", or "I love your company and you"...soften things up...if kindness doesn't assuage the beast, then there's more to it than him simply not feeling welcome...

romany agony auntPerhaps he is worried about out staying his welcome, perhaps he has been made in previous relationships to feel like he was not given them space, or perhaps he is trying to avoid being rejected by getting in their first.

Till you really speak to him, a good heart to heart, about the living arrangements, there are far too many perhaps and maybe's here.
