Some fabrics has a feel to it, that a person find arousing. Some like silk/satin some like fur, others like velvet and others again prefer simple cotton.
There is absolutely nothing abnormal about it.
Now if it gets to a point where you can ONLY get aroused around velvel, you might have a fettish.. that too, doesn't change your sexual orientation.
