reader, anonymous, writes (30 November 2009): it happens at different ages for different people...i know that it is very frustrating when your friend mature faster than you do. i have a son developes much later than his peers and it was very humiliating for him. they looked like the 14, 15, 16 years olds that they were and he looked 12 even when he was 16., happily at 17 he started catching up and has finally grew upward and looks more mature now. i had a couple of friends who were brothers and they were both very little guys until they were almost 20. hopefully it wont be that way for you but dont lose hope if it doesnt happen as fast as you may wish. hang in there...i hope this gives you some hope that it will come....
