A reader, anonymous, writes (11 May 2007):

Keep a diary of when it happens and see where it appears in you monthly cycle. You may find a coincidence there - for me my mouth and brain become disconnected, so I slur when speaking when my period is due and can not make myself as clear as usual.

Be aware of how you feel at the time. Have you eaten properly and are you stressed or tired? Diet is really important. One of my friends got worried because her legs felt weak and spongy so she felt she could not walk properly. All it was, was a potassium deffiency (bananas).

I find writing harder to do the more I use a PC. It is as though I lose the dexterity of writing. Are you doing this?

If you are still worried see your doctor so you can be checked and get it sorted out.

A female reader, DrPsych United Kingdom +, writes (11 May 2007):

DrPsych agony auntIt could be dyslexia (a condition associated with reading/ writing difficulties) or dyspraxia (a condition affecting your motor control). Neither mean you are stupid in any way but if you get a diagnosis from an educational psychologist then it may help you to come to terms with it and they can offer help and support.
