A female United States age 36-40, *HAUNAZEE SHEPARD writes:

my boyfriend was always with me but now he's distance alot, he told me we shouldn't have space, now that he is talking with this girl that is only a friend (supposably)

he said that he just wants a little space, but everytime he makes plans with me (almost everynight) he ditches me and ignores my calls , he tells me the next morning that he is sorry and i ask him what happened and he says nothing just stayed at casino too long , and i tried to talk with him about it and he says shut up its done and over , so what do u think i should do and what do u think he is up to??

A male reader, anonymous, writes (17 January 2007):

theres no relationship without honesty. and if he cant even talk to you properly about it then hes not being very honest with you.

maybe he does feel like hes being watched and does need space, we all need it from time to time, so back off a bit. let him do his thing. when he realises he isnt getting the attention he used to he'll wonder whats up and with luck realise hes not been a gent.
