What is the part of a man or a woman in starting a relationship?

Should it be the man or the woman making the first step? What is the part of a man or a woman in starting a relationship? What is their part in continueing the relationship? And what if it comes to an engagement/wedding? And so on? What is your opinion?

Introverts and Extraverts will handle such a decision differently.

Some people are more outgoing than others so this will effect who will feel comfortable enough to tell another about their attraction to them as well as venture a "hi, I like you, we should date".

Socially, it was the "man" who was allowed to be bold as well as given the repsonsibility to further a friendship into marriage.

However, if women waited for the man to ask or make that first move...how many of us would still be at home waiting for that phone call? Alot.
