A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (27 September 2009):

1) 4 months and I knew her for about a year.

2) It ended because I couldn't see her that often and she found someone else nearer to her.

3) a month. It's difficult if you haven't got enough money to travel, or no car.

LDR's can work, but they need real commitment from BOTH people.

A female reader, old-spinstah United Kingdom +, writes (27 September 2009):

1) 2 & a half years. Approximately 6 months in the same city (but not the same house) 1 year in different countries (with occasional visits), 1 year in the same country but different cities and we saw each other most weekends.

2) It ended because he met somebody else

3) 9 months (air fares are expensive and there was no internet in those days!)
