A reader, anonymous, writes (17 December 2008):

I am afraid this one is not for you. No, there is someone else out there waiting to meet you. Don't waste time on this guy and don't waste time trying to understand why. Close this chapter of the book and move to the next. This is what makes a book and life interesting. We can always turn the page and move forward.

A new chapter in the book of your life...You are in control, you are writing the story, you can determine the ending. I am sure you will find a happy ending.

Good luck! Keep us posted.

A male reader, Danielepew Mexico +, writes (17 December 2008):

Danielepew agony aunt"Just friends" is an awful phrase. It means "I'm not interested in you", no matter who says it. Sorry.

The other poster said this guy is not sexually interested in you. Well, take that as good thing: if he were, he would perhaps deceive you to get into your pants. Fortunately he's honest and spoke his clear mind.

There can be many reasons why someone won't want a relationship with someone else. I understand that you need to know, but sometimes trying to know is just a waste of time. Whatever the reason, you still don't get to be with the person. It's best to use that time to do things you enjoy and have fun.
