Even if you were 90 and she's 20, I'll still say the same thing. In short, like everyone else had said, it's between you and her.

 I know I'm young and all, But I think at that time in your life, age is something that is accepted more between people. in my opinion, I don't think that's a problem at all. You both are at a mature state to be able to handle things.

reader, anonymous, writes (15 July 2007): There is absolutely nothing wrong with this age gap, hun. You and your gf are both adults and likely are at a very similar life phase/stage as each other. Your gf is a mature adult, likely is educated, travelled, has a career (job), maybe a prior love relationship or two thus making her experienced with life as you are. So no need to worry about a 8-9 year age gap. Does she have kids? If not, her bio clock may be ticking loudly--something to think about. But, all in all, don't worry!
