writes:im 14 an i have never had a boy friend. my best friend was the first 1 in our year 2 loose her virginity she was only 13, nearly 14. she isnt a slut or anything just fort she had found the perfect guy but he dumped her a week after this was terrible for her but of course now all the boys look @ her rather than me and i go everywhere with her. i have boys who r friends but not that close so i wanted to know what boys look for in a 14 yr old girl apart from getting laid. thanks xxx

I have to say dont feel unwanted at all. I didnt have a boyfriend till I was 15 and didnt have sex until I was 16. And I think that was young. I did wait for the right guy though and you should too. I know its hard especially when you see your friends with boyfriends and getting intrest from the guys but your time will come. They will respect you more and you will become like a beautiful swan. Just keep your head up and good things will come...

reader, anonymous, writes (18 June 2008): If a guy thinks there is a chance that he can have sex with you, then it is probably just sex that he is interested in and he will probably say anything to get it. Despite that, you can have great friendships with the opposite sex, you just have to keep a friendship boundary.
It's easy to think around your age that you have met the perfect person and you'll be with them forever, the truth is most people don't settle down until their 30s or 40s these days. A women having a baby for the first time (when married) is now 31 years old in the UK.
You should remember that when you start getting close to guys, you have many, many years ahead of you before things have to get serious and you certainly aren't missing out!
And remember, you'll remember the person you loose your virginity for the rest of your life, so make sure there really are no doubts about them.
