We didn't really get that far into it because it hurt too much, so i told him to stop. He understood and he stopped, but we want to try again. So my questions are: Is it normal for it to hurt that much even though i didnt bleed? And what can we do to make it hurt less next time?

I'm a virgin but I've read up about this because I used to worry about the same thing. It's totally normal, here are some possible causes for pain:*You are not lubricated enough, so you feel a rubbing sensation*You're nervous and tense so it won't go in*You get tummy cramps because your cervix hasn't gone up.There are two main ways to prevent this:*Using lubricator from a shop.*Lots of foreplay - kissing, cuddling, touching, oral etc. This will arouse you more so your body will be more prepared. Also, because you haven't done it much, you won't have been very stretched. The more you do it, the less it will hurt, so have fun and good luck =]

Well, your case is quite simple. First sex experience usually always includes some pain and hurtings, but if it was so much painfull to you that you both had to stop, then it's main reason can be because of less arousal and pleasure works before sex. Did you two do all that? The reason for not bleeding might be that it didn't go that fine and was inturrupted. The next time, try being paitient for the actual job and have a bit of arousal activities first, like oral sex, kisses, touching and rubbing etc. so that you both are aroused enough to feel pleasure in place of pain.
