writes: dear cupid i have a problem about 2 years ago before i started dating my boyfriend i'm with now i found some small painful blisters on my lips of my vagina, i got them checked out at the doctor and they thought that i had herpes but the test results came back negative and now two years later i have them again i went to the doctor and they tested me for herpes if the results still come back negative what could these blisters be. i have only slept with one guy before my current boyfriend and we both lost our virginity together. please help

reader, anonymous, writes (3 June 2009): ahhh you could be one of us unlucky women that has hpv. and even unluckier you could have the strand that i have, the one that causes genital warts! have you had a pap smear for hpv testing, if not you should.
