writes: hey i need help, there is this guy he and i have had a past relationship and i still like him. but i think he likes me but my friend sais that he is the kind of guy who wouldn't and couldn't carry on a relationship. but i really love him. i need to know what should i do? i am afraid that if i try to hard for him to like me and me know it that my best friend will get mad at me. should i try it or what.......this is all i can think about...please if you have any advice i would really like it if you helped me!!!!?????.....

reader, anonymous, writes (22 July 2006): I don't think you should listen to your friend, sounds to me like she's a bit jealous. What are her reasons for saying that? Did he treat you bad in the past? A bit more information would be useful.
If you think the guy is right for you and you know what she's saying isn't true, go ahead and do what you want. If she gets mad at you, then she isn't a true friend. She would only have a word with you if she was concerned about you being with him and he wasn't treating you right. At the end of the day, it's your life hun.
