Was he interested and I shot him down?

I was taking private lessons at a school and I started to become attracted to my teacher (were both adults). I thought maybe he was too, but was not sure. I never knew if he was being nice because he was my teacher or because he was interested. He would always sit too close to me, and comment on how I looked, and always said I was funny (even though I never said any jokes). My last couple classes things got weird. During my lesson, he said my name during the entire lesson, and said "I love saying your name". Then when I said I wanted to do something different for class he said "a picnic?". Me being me, I got nervous and said no. During my last class he acted totally different. He was not calling me by my nickname and acted like a jerk. So my question is, did he sound interested, and I shot him down?

Tevote agony auntHi there,

well it definitely sounds like he may have been interested.

Usually when a man mentions that he likes saying your name, or says it a lot implies that he has an attraction towards you.

Although it doesn't give him the right to be a jerk haha. Maybe he was just annoyed with the fact that it was your last day, or maybe you did slightly wound him as he may have wanted to become closer friends.

If you really want to know, go ask him. Go with what you feel is best, if you think you shot him down then maybe you're right. It's hard to tell.

Hopefully you have some luck in this situation.

All the best,
