Straight to the point - I had sex with my boyfriend a few weeks ago. We used condoms - No splits or anything, as far as I'm aware. I also recently just started the pill. And yet I have really sore breasts and the odd spotting, so could I be pregnant? Thanks. xx

blackroses2989 agony auntYes it is probably the birth control pills, but if you want to have a test, it could be helpful. More likely than not its the bc though! ^_~

satindesire agony auntNo one here on the site can tell you if you're pregnant or not, you'll just have to go and get a test and use it!

Here's some info on birth control pills.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progestogen_only_pill

Also, your pills should have come with some paper literature that will tell you all that you'd need to know about them, including how to use them properly, and any side effects you may see.

Keep using condoms, though, you don't want to catch an STI!!!

I was just wondering if maybe the pill could cause that too... I don't know.

Speaking from personal experience, the soreness in your breats and "odd" spotting can be side effects from starting the birth control. The change in hormone levels can do that.

Ginalolabridga agony auntOnly sure way to tell is do a pregnancy test if your periods are late by any more than a week you can do the test sometimes we get the odd spotting before our periods and our breasts can hurt too so it might well be your period is on it's way as i do not know how long your late i would suggest a test asap.
