Hi..I wrote a question a little bit ago, here's the link for a little background info:

http://www.dearcupid.org/question/are-we-even-still-dating-he-said-he.html

It's been two weeks now and things are still weird between the two of us. Basically, he randomly stopped texting me everyday and eventually I got it out of him that he wants to take a step back from the relationship and let things go with the flow, but that he still wants to talk/see me. He's been texting me sparingly and with the way things were going, I assumed he wasn't planning to wish me a happy new year but he did and I've heard from him since then even though it's still very limited.

Today, he actually asked how I was doing in regards to some issues I've been having lately. Totally surprised me because I figured he didn't even care anymore, maybe he doesn't but at least he asked. I'm currently at my parent's house on break from school but in a few weeks, I'll be going back to my own apartment at school. We're long distance and my school's a lot closer to him than my parents' house, which makes it a lot easier to come visit plus he can actually stay with me for a few days.

Earlier today, he asked when I was going back. I'm assuming he asked because he wants to see me. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, I'm just glad he asked because he never asks that unless he's planning to come see me and I think seeing each other would be good for us at the moment. I haven't heard anything from him since he asked when I was going back and I responded with when, so I could be wrong.

Any opinions on my situation? Should I try to see him or just let it go and move on?

can you just ask him the exact same questions you just posted on here and get answer straight from the horses' mouth?

it's really hard to sustain a relationship based on mind-reading.

or to even know if there's a relationship or not!!
