reader, anonymous, writes (27 June 2010): Just don't let on that you have any idea that she's with someone, unless it's obvious and she or her boyfriend know that you know they're together. Let her know how you've felt and for how long, in some discreet way. If you're in close contact with, or are friends with any of her close friends, you can also tell any of them, knowing it will most likely leak to her, and you'll know by her actions or body language if she got the message. I wouldn't try that one so much as letting her know directly, since it will make her feel awkward, whether she wants to act on it or not, if she hears it through someone else. Girls like confidence in a guy because they need to know they can rely on you, so if it were me, I'd face her head on and spill the beans. She might think less of you, otherwise, if her friends tell her first.
