He was always flirting with me n I was always flirting back with him, then one day he told me that he had a girlfriend n after a few more days he told me that he was going to break up with her. Every time I looked toward him he was staring into my eyes, but after the last game of the season he stopped talking to me n I really want to know what happened?

 This guy has a girlfriend and its highly possible hes still with her, and has decided not to leave her. This may be why you havent had contact since the season has ended.
He may have never had an intention to leave this other girl, and just said it... Us guys do that especially if we are liking the attention we are getting. Afterall everyone wants attention dont they?
If thats the case you should move on also, and find someone who is not already attached to someone else. To save yourself form getting hurt.
