Hi everybody,

I'm just writing this to get an idea of peoples reaction to this situation.

I see someone most days I go to work and we have a little chat going. I find her very attractive, lovely smile and pretty eyes and she is different to other women I would normally approach (not that I approach any in the street).

This is my dilemma (I say dilemma but I'm probably going to be brave and ask her out - Nothing ventured Nothing gained)), she is 23. So what you say - I'm 45.

I'd just be interested in your comments and views.

Thanks

The old Man? agony auntGo for it!

You just might be surprised! Inter generational dating is becoming more common in the USA. I don't know what the young guys are doing wrong, but apparently they're not taking care of business!

My only advice if you date her is, don't treat her like she's 23. Granted, she is, but don't try and give her guidance like a father would. Secondly, don't bring up the age issue for a few weeks. There will be some tension at first, but until the two of you are very comfortable with each other, that's one to put off.

masquerade711 agony auntI admire your attitude of nothing ventured, nothing gained. There are a few guys in my workplace that I have a good friendship with who are close to your age, however I probably wouldn't date any of them. My father is almost 47, so to date anyone around that age would be very weird for me. But, there's no harm in trying. She most definitely could see things differently from me.
