Should we slow things down physically?

Question - (22 May 2010) 2 Answers - (Newest, 25 May 2010)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So, yesterday I allowed by boyfriend to finger me. I didn't expect much even if he's not a virgin, just because he probably wouldn't know what I like. Before he did anything he asked if it was okay and I told him it was. It was actually a nice feeling. When he got alittle rough and it hurt a bit I told him so but after a bit of that I felt a hot liquid. It kind of worried me, I thought I might've been bleeding, but I wasn't. What was it? Also it felt weird down there for a few hours after, not pain but different. And I guess I'm alittle curious as to what goes through a guys head during these times.

A few hours later when it was getting closer to the time he was going to leave he says he has a serious question. After asking if I was okay with what happened he says "have you ever done that with anyone else?" To which I gave my honest answer, no. My main question is why did he ask that? He knows I'm a virgin.

He's really a great guy and a total gentlemen always talking about the future he wants with me. We've both agreed we're on the same page, no sex until marriage. So, should we slow things down physically? I'm not worried about slipping up. Just not wanting him to get bored if we just continue doing what we have. Honest opinions? advice? comments?
