Ive fallen for a guy, who treats me like his girlfriend, but told me he doesnt want to commit. I want to put some space between us, but cant stand not talking to him.

Any ideas, on how to let go without any pain!

You can't have a pain free time when getting over someone.

You just have to treat it just like giving up smoking.

Go cold turkey, and hang out with lots of friends and keep your mind busy so you don't have time to miss him.
