Should I pull away to see if he has withdrawal symptoms from my affection?

A male United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I sometimes find that in my relationship that I am the one that is the more affectionate in terms of giving more hugs asking for little kisses and he likes it, but I am growing tired of always being the one to initiate cuddling when watching tv, or asking for random affection, or hugs etc.

Ironically when we are apart on business he misses me and what I do, but then when we see each other I would at least expect him to be more affectionate.

Some might say that it's his nature, perhaps. However I am beginning to feel like I show too much affection. but if I don't intiate it we will sit like two strangers on the couch especially when he is in a mood, and only when I say sit closer to me or can I hold you, he will, but if I don't make the first move nothing happens, but if I don't cuddle then I get told what's the matter with me?

Should I pull away to see if he has withdrawal symptoms from my affection?

Itxi agony auntDon't pull away massively, but try avoiding hugging them for a while. Don't make a big deal out of it though, be prepared for them not to notice and don't let it make you come back and be even more affectionate.

Just see if they initiate the cuddle, you might be jumping into it too soon.
