Should I look for a girlfriend at the moment?

Hi, don't know if this is the right place to ask this. Seeing a therapist due to neediness issues. Only thing is I'm still quite lonely and wondering if it's worth trying to get a girlfriend at the moment. Therapy could take a while to end and I'm sick of being single but then I'm afraid I'd be back in my vicious circle - trying to make a girlfriend make up for the lack of unconditional love I experienced as a child and then driving her away and then being even more miserable. Help!

A person who is levelheaded and comfortable when alone ultimately makes a better partner than someone who is "lonely & sick of being single". You may be better off completing therapy before surprising another partner with your unresolved childhood issues.
