A female reader, PixiLaTed South Africa +, writes (23 April 2010):

PixiLaTed agony auntI don't think anyone EVER grows out of fancying celebrities. Because I'm anonymous, I can admit that I fancy Gordan Ramsey and Steven Tyler. And I'm 24. As long as you don't avoid real relationships because of some ideal fantasy person you have in your head (No one has glittering vampire skin, as much as us lasses can wish), then go wild..

SirenaBlusera agony auntGael Garcia Bernal. I have no idea what he's like in real life, though.

Perhaps you should think of what you admire about these celebrities and search for someone in "real life" with similar qualities.

A reader, anonymous, writes (23 April 2010):

Hahaha. I have a good friend who is kind of the same. Her standards have just become so high. She has never had a serious boyfriend, a kiss, or even sex. I am not judging her because I love her dearly. But she is pretty much asexual.

Ever since we started up college she has shown some interest in some boys. Are you in college? Perhaps you just need to exposed to more diversity and that will change...

I am sorry I can not give you enough insight on this matter... but guess all I can say is, start realizing people are nothing like celebrities. Celebrities are nothing like they appear, nonetheless!

Some flaws can be sexy... Embrace people and their differences.

A female reader, el Lori United States +, writes (23 April 2010):

el Lori agony auntEver hear of the tarts? Usually older women but there is a mix of younger womentotally devoted to Gerard Butler. Or even recently how many women are crazy for that Edward/Robert fellow from Twilight? My point is that there are fans of all ages for celebrities. If it makes you happy, why stop? My mom still gets the giggles for celebrities. My friend who is 23 still gets excited over Gerard Butler. Even her mom is part of team edward.
