writes:ok, well i just recently broke up with my girlfriend of a year, but i really regret it because i still love her. the reason we split was because about a week and a half before that, my bestfriend who i grew apart from confessed to me that he has been seeing my girl. he told me that they had sex 3 times. when i confronted her she told me that it was all a lie, that she would never cheat on me. but i didnt believe her, cause well my Xbestfriend told me everything, like why would he make it all up. she and i have done a lot of things together and she says she would never ever hurt me like that. we've recently spent christmas together and also new years. I dont know what to do, if i get back with her would i look stupid or what?

reader, anonymous, writes (6 January 2011): why did you do that? you made a snap decision and now you dont know what to do. anyway if you only know the girl a while but you know youre your best friend for what 15, 20 years? which ones the bigger betrayal if it even happened? best thing to do is sit down with the two of them and have a talk. then make youre decision. no you wont look stupid for getting back with her but why are you even considering it when you dont know if she cheated or not??????
