 Yes go for it. It is a profession to be proud of. Don't forget to have a few breaks to balance the studying out then it won't seem such a hard slog. good luck.

I always enjoy making people happy. I feel this is the best job for me to do that. Plus the human body always fascinates me.. and my dad is a doctor too and is really happy that i am choosing the same path he did and is willing to help me with anything i need. But you are right, i should ask him what are hi regrets and what are the things he wished he could have done. Thank you guys your answers really helped!

You have to have the passion in life to do what you want. You also have to know what all is involved, ask questions of doctors, their choices and their regrets. I have to say as a nurse I do admire them. I couldn't do it. Are you willing to give your life to helping and letting go of others? Thats a choice you have to make. I wish you the best and if you truely want to help others, I am sure you will be an awesome doc.
