Should I ask him out or would that be weird?

K there is this guy i like but i want you to tell me if i should ask hm out or not well he and my brother are friends and his parents and my parents are friends my parents dont really like him!!! We ve known each other since we were little he is one year younger than me i babysit his little sister......i like h alot but i dont really talk to him.......... If i asked him out and he says no things whould be weird like going to his house and stuff.........so should i ask him out and what should i do
