A female reader, Plexi Canada +, writes (14 December 2008):

Plexi agony auntthe fact is that aerobic exercise burns calories that can help you lose weight overall not just in a specific area.

sit ups or crunches will tone up and strengthen the muscles underneath but not the skin on the outside.

diet is always important of course but it will just help you be lean and healthy not get rid od lose skin.

i agree with Ginalolabridga go to a gym and consult with a trainer or even your gp should be able to advise you.

excessive lose skin however will probably require surgery.
