 you need to sit down with her and tell her that you are there now you want to be with her but that you cant wait for her, tell her if the guy she likes hasnt noticed her for 5 months then its likely he never will, y risk a relatiionship that could work for one that might not even get the chance to start and if you feel that you could make her happy then show her :) hope it helps

 If she has been after him for 5 months then he is probably not interested. She shouldn't waste her time on him any more. But there's nothing you can do to change that so, I'd say back off from her a bit. Don't ignore her. But don't talk to her as much as you do and she'll realise (hopefully) that she misses talking to you and likes you. Let her make up her own mind.I hope this helps
