Shall I continue to deceive myself that she is gone or I should fight for it?

Question - (30 December 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 30 December 2010)
A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I thought I have moved on from the girl that I used to love since she has chosen another guy instead of me. So, I thought I have moved on ...

Today, I heard that the girl that I love got dump, I felt so sorry for her but I also felt very relieved because my brain automatically made me to think that I have a chance again. I have never expected this would happen since I deceived myself that she is gone, so I could manage to move on.

However, this is a rumor only. They are still together in reality. As a result, I felt extremely depressed again.

I know that she only treats me as an important friend.

Shall I continue to deceive myself that she is gone or I should fight for it?

I think you should fight for it. Fight for true love. Don't deceive youself that she is gone. If you like her go for it.
