reader, anonymous, writes (3 November 2010): No, it's not particularly normal, but you're still young, and your hormones are still not regulated since you're very much going through puberty right now.
If this is something that is absolutely continual, you should see a doctor about getting birth control to regulate your period, but if this is something that happens and you're fairly regular afterward, you're fine.
