writes:I like this guy at school, and my intuition tells me that he likes me back... but he hasn't come to talk to me yet, I just gave him my email yesterday... he and his friends kept smiling back at me afterward... but now I still haven't heard from him. He has tried coming up to me to talk but its like he gets scared and then it doesn't happen, he always does the stare, look away, and smile thing...I just don't understand what he is doing.. I mean he did do things that shows he likes me, and I've never felt any negative feelings from him.. except his lack of action.. its making me think maybe he doesn't like me, but then the other things he does just makes me confused... is there any guy that has done this before or understand what might be going on? or any girls out there that's been in the same situation? My friend said I should give him some time to sink this in his head then maybe he'll be fine afterward.. Reply to this Question

reader, anonymous, writes (24 May 2009): It looks as though he's flattered by the fact you like him and his friends know it too but his lack of action means he probably doesn't want to do anything about it. He may like someone else or may just not like you enough but for a guy in his 20's, if he's into it, he would have definitely done something about it! The ball is in his court now so I wouldn't chase him. Continue to smile at him and be friendly but you've done enough to indicate your interest.
